Penguin Vintage commissioned me to create the title cover artwork of last published versions of George Orwell books

George Orwell (1903-1950) is one of England’s most iconic writers and social commentators. Best known for his dystopian masterpiece Nineteen Eighty Four and his satirical novel Animal Farm, he is also well known for his essays and journalism. Orwell is celebrated and relevant now as he has ever been.

Now, seventy years after his tragic death from tuberculosis, Vintage Classics brings together four of his most famous works (1984, Animal Farm, Homage to Catalonia and Down and Out in Paris and London) with new covers reimagined by creative Director Suzanne Dean and with the artwork and design by myself.

I was commissioned last year to produce artwork for the very last published versions of extraordinary books. They follow in the footsteps of Shephard Fairey (Obey) who created the cover art for 1984 and Animal Farm in 2008.

The new cover version were released January 7th will be available worldwide.
